Friday
This weekend was the first time I went to see Brian instead of him driving to me. I was so anxious to get off work, and I knew he was anxious as well since he kept checking to see if I was on my way yet. I missed him very much this week. I brought much nicer outfits than I have usually been dressing. Thanks to my TriFABB ladies, I’ve been inspired to start taking better care of myself like I’ve been saying I’m going to start doing.
When I got to Brian, we spent some alone time together before heading out to dinner. We were meeting his parents and his aunt at Cha Da Thai in Winston-Salem. Brian and I were both skeptical, but we ended up really loving our dinner. I would definitely recommend folks to try them out if they’re in Winston-Salem! When we got home I watched some of The Hunger Games. I have been aching to see the movie! Even more, I want to read the books so Brian bought them all on his Kindle. I was so tired that I wasn’t able to finish the movie that night though.
Saturday
I installed my mother-in-law’s new webcam and set up Skype for her. I started talking about how I am past due for a new computer, and Brian offered to buy me one. I declined for now, but I really do need one, and soon! That afternoon we all went out to the tennis courts for bit. Brian, his dad and his mom played, while I watched from the sidelines with Brian’s aunt. I took a quick nap at the house, then Brian dropped me off at the mall to do some shopping with his mom and his aunt.
Have I mentioned my small obsession with purses? While I was looking around I spotted…
Dooney & Bourke Florentine Flap Tab Satchel | Ralph Lauren Newbury Classic Tote | Dooney & Bourke Wilson
I want them all! After drooling over a bunch of stuff at the mall, we went home for dinner, finished watching The Hunger Games (which was awesome), and then we all played Cranium before bed. Brian and his family are so competitive, but it was hilarious!
Sunday
After a quick breakfast, I packed up. My sweet mother-in-law asked if I wanted to go to an apple orchard with her, but I said I should get back. I kind of regret not going with her, because I bet it would’ve been fun.
Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of us this weekend (although Brian did leave me a sweet note in my gratitude journal), BUT we have a hot date this Wednesday! I’ll get a picture then hopefully. We are going to meet somewhere in between us, and I’m so, SO excited! What to wear, what to wear…
This post is a part of ‘Weekenders’ (our weekend adventures together until we are reunited hopefully in our first house), a temporary series on this blog. Find all ‘Weekenders’ posts here.
