I am so excited to be featuring Meaghan of All Tulled Up today. Not only is All Tulled Up an up and coming trendy wedding blog, but Meaghan offers her wedding planning services – even virtually! – focused on affordability and accessibility. I honestly wish I had the pleasure of knowing her before I got married last year. Mr. Smith and I had a mostly DIY wedding, but with no wedding planner and us both working full-time, the planning become increasingly more stressful as the big day got closer, and I had to compromise on things I wouldn’t have had to if I just had more time and help. Hiring Meaghan would have been so wonderful. So brides-to-be, grooms-to-be, wedding enthusiasts, whoever – be sure to check this amazing lady out!
As for today’s guest post, Meaghan is treating us to some of the newest wedding trends of 2013!
Take it away, Meaghan!
Recently, I came across 7Jaded and fell in love with Vanessa’s fashion posts. I knew instantly I wanted to collaborate with her! So let me introduce myself: my name is Meaghan and I blog over at All Tulled Up, where I discuss wedding planning, marriage and continue to grow my wedding consulting business. I’m so excited to be guest-posting for you today about the newest trends 2013 brought us in wedding style!
Let’s begin with the ladies, with a nod to the non-traditional bride. In recent years, designers have attempted to introduce brides to colored gowns in pale shades, but this year, they’ve blown past blush and sailed right into red, gold and even black! Everyday women’s fashion of the moment embraces peplum in every form and bridal fashion is doing the same. Bridal gowns with subtle peplum skirts hint to a sophisticated, stylish bride who wants to stay on-trend without going over-the-top.
Last is a new neckline. Move over strapless, off-the-shoulder gowns are all the rage! This soft neckline screams elegance along with subtle sexiness.

Not to be forgotten, the grooms’ fashion has also seen a handful of new styles come in to play. Grooms who want to add a touch of their own style to their wedding-day ensemble are opting for dress socks in crazy colors and patterns. So the groomsmen socks and shoes pictures from 2012 are still a go for this year! Unless it’s a black-tie event, why should the groom be sentenced to black? Lighten the mood (and the color tones) with a grey or tan suit. And at a casual affair, men are even going sans jacket/ vest.
And finally, the bowtie has made its return to groomswear! Whether a solid color or a funky pattern, this neckwear is the way to go this year!
