With Great Heart is a creative services studio that builds attractive and functional sites for anyone who wants a friendly, hardworking, patient, and supportive partner. Why the name ‘With Great Heart’? It’s an adaptation from the famous Mother Teresa quote.
Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.
I’ve always battled with the feeling of not being good enough or smart enough, but when I read that quote I felt uplifted. I realized I had something valuable to offer, no matter how “small” it seemed: my innate empathetic nature coupled with my tech savviness. That alone makes it possible for me to relieve my clients of many frustrating technical aspects of their business. In return, their gratitude brings joy to my life.
And so With Great Heart became a purpose project. It pushed me to learn and gain more experience in all the nerdy things I love, like WordPress, design, photography and writing. More than that, I put my heart into my work, and I want to help those who have put their heart and hard work into their business. It makes me happy to provide them with guidance and the support they need to empower themselves and their project. Through With Great Heart I have met so many talented, kind, phenomenal people who appreciate me and the working relationship we build together. I will always be grateful for that!
Education & Experience
I have been creating on the web since the days of Diary-X and Xanga. (If you know what those are, we are now best friends.) I received my bachelor’s degree from NC State University where I worked as a professional geek in their central IT office for 3 years before relocating to the Piedmont Triad area. I’m blessed to be on the phenomenal team behind Reify Media as well, a multimedia company based out of the RTP area. (Connect with me on LinkedIn!)
More About Vanessa
I am married to my college sweetheart and best friend. I love spending time with my loved ones (and making them laugh till it hurts), enjoying good food, watching movies or episodes of The Office, dancing, working out, or hiking in the mountains.
But when I can, I want to choose life and meaning.
