Last Monday I got a pretty drastic haircut. I cut off about 12 inches, can you believe it? And I still have a pretty long (and angled) bob if that tells you anything about how long I let my hair get. I wish I had a picture to show you all, but I am never camera ready when I need to be. I know, I’m a “bad” blogger.. Hopefully I’ll take some blog worthy photos soon though. After my haircut I checked into our hotel in Raleigh and waited for Brian. We had dinner at Ale House, and watched The Hobbit back in the room.
On Tuesday Brian drove me to work. Such a sweetheart. He picked me up and we had dinner at The Melting Pot for the first time ever. The rumors are true – it is expensive, but so delicious!
Wednesday
I worked a half day at the office, then visited another office I do a bit of freelance work for in the city. I met Brian and his friend back at the hotel, we went to Rudinos, then went bowling. We played three games and I think I broke 100 every time, but my last game I bowled a 144, and both Brian and I were shocked, because the last time I tried bowling, I was so terrible! My wrist would always bend to the left just as I released the ball. Who knows, maybe all these years of typing at the computer all day has corrected something, haha.
Thursday
I took a long nap, then we watched Seven Psychopaths and Brian brought me some food off the hotel menu.
Friday
We checked out, and ate at La Hacienda in Durham. We watched Silver Linings Playbook back at the house – I love that movie. I will be buying it haha. Surprisingly, Brian liked it a lot, too.
Saturday
We had a very relaxed day. We ate corndogs, and watched movies (Dark Skies, The Great and Powerful Oz), and ate a ton of Bojangles which Auntie brought home.
Sunday
We went for a short run in the rain. It felt amazing. It was nice and cool and cloudy and barely raining. It just felt like mist on my face. I wish every day I ran were like that.
